Software Engineer Intern (Frontend), remote in India
About the role
This internship suits a student or recent graduate who wants to work on web interfaces that customers use. You would join our engineering team and write React and TypeScript with mentorship from experienced engineers, contributing real features to production.
The work is a mix of building and fixing. You might add an interface feature, tidy a page layout, or track down a bug that shows up in only one browser. You would also work on shared components that follow our design system, and pick up web performance basics such as optimizing images and lazy loading.
You do not need to know everything on day one. We ask for the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and a basic grasp of React or a similar framework. The rest you learn on the job: tools such as Vite, Tailwind CSS and Git, unit testing and code reviews. Clear communication and a readiness to act on feedback are part of the brief too.
Responsibilities
- Assist in building UI features using React and TypeScript under mentorship
- Help fix bugs, improve page layouts, and ensure cross-browser compatibility
- Contribute to reusable component libraries following our design system
- Learn and apply web performance best practices (image optimization, lazy loading)
- Write basic unit tests and participate in code reviews
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in CS, IT, or a related field
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
- Basic understanding of React or a similar frontend framework
- Willingness to learn modern tooling: Vite, Tailwind CSS, Git
- Good communication skills and eagerness to learn from feedback
Nice to have
- Personal or academic projects using React/TypeScript
- Familiarity with responsive design and mobile-first layouts
- Exposure to version control workflows (branching, pull requests)
