Cloud Platform Intern, remote in India

Cloud and Platform • Remote/India • Contract

About the role

This internship gives you hands-on time with cloud infrastructure and platform engineering. You would assist with deployments, learn cloud security fundamentals and help keep systems reliable, working under supervision rather than on your own.

The work covers the everyday side of running cloud systems. You would help provision resources and handle basic infrastructure tasks. You would also watch system health, respond to alerts, and support the team's infrastructure-as-code scripts and deployment pipelines.

You would sit in on architecture reviews and write internal documentation, including notes on the architecture patterns you learn. Writing things up is a good way to see why systems are designed the way they are. We ask for a basic grasp of compute, storage and networking, and familiarity with AWS, GCP or Azure. You should also be comfortable on the command line and with simple Bash or Python scripts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with cloud resource provisioning and basic infrastructure tasks
  • Help monitor system health and respond to alerts under supervision
  • Learn and document cloud architecture patterns and best practices
  • Support the team with IaC scripts (Terraform/CDK) and deployment pipelines
  • Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to internal documentation

Requirements

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in CS, IT, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of cloud concepts (compute, storage, networking)
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Comfort with the command line and basic scripting (Bash or Python)
  • Eagerness to learn about security, reliability, and scalable systems

Nice to have

  • Experience with Docker or containerization basics
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Any cloud certification (even foundational level)

How to apply

Send your resume to [email protected]. The Apply button opens an email with “Application - Cloud Platform Intern” already in the subject line, so we know which role you mean. Mention which cloud provider you know best, plus any Docker or Terraform practice or cloud certification, even at foundational level.
